Today all over the world people are caught up into one of the enemies greatest traps, that trap is called worry. They spend more time centred on what their daily life is about to bring them than they do concentrating on what God can bring them. When anything takes you away from God then you have a nucleus of worry within your heart. This will bring destruction into your life instead of a resolution to the problem, never has worry accomplished anything but hurt, annihilation and eventually death.
For most, worry is just a part of the way they live and achieve the everyday things of life. How can one possibly pay their bills or find a new job or receive healing of some disease unless you are concerned over that. All the little things in life that you worry about only lead to steal your time from God. Anything that replaces fellowship with God is sin.
Worry will produce the following things in your life:
Jesus said “take no thought” to worry is to take possession of a thought and to make it your own. To make it your own is to believe it, the Word says “as you believe so shall it be to you”. So then worry is sin because it causes a belief in something other than God. 1 Peter 5:6-7
The person who is caught up in worry is a fearful person. Believing that the problem which they are consumed with will happen to them. They find that they will readily relate to the disasters of Job rather than to the victories he had. Job certainly had his own troubles yet he emerged victorious in them all. These who live in constant fear quickly forget that the Word repeats time after time to fear not (more than 63 times). , (J.B. Phillips version) “So humble yourself under God’s strong hand, and in His own good time He will lift you up. You can throw the whole weight of your anxieties upon Him, for you are His personal concern”.
Isaiah 41:10-13, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee, yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Behold all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish. Thou shall seek them, and shall not find them, even them that contended with thee; they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought. For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee”.C) Disease;
Psalms “I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long. For my loins are filled with loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.” 38:6-7,
