Joy, To The World
So it’s Christmas, the time for good tidings and joy to all men. So we are all to have good “feeling” about everyone and most things right? Wrong. We like to quote Luke 2:10 King James Version (KJV) “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.” Yet do we understand what Christams really means, first it’s good news, not fake news, “Glad-tidings” occurs in the King James Version in the translation of the verb euaggelizo, “to tell good news” so that good news we now know was the birth of Christ, God’s Annointed One, He who would bring to the world the freedom that had long bound it. Happiness is an emotion and temporary; joy is an attitude of the heart. Joy is not temporal but eternal. However they walk hand in hand, many scriptures refer to the happiness
The angles came and declared that good news, “tidings of great joy” Luke 2:10 King James Version (KJV)10 “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.” So everybody is happy, right, no, joy is not happiness But you cannot be happy without joy.) So what is it then, just an emotion that comes from time to time? A feeling that gets you through the hardest times? A sensation you get when the time is exactly right? NO, and no again.
Joy is a power force that dwells deep within the spirit of man. It is part of force that spirit draws upon for your daily walk with the Lord. It is powerful part of the Holy Spirit and as the He has His dwelling within you, then you have joy. Galatians 5:22 Amplified Bible (AMP) “22 But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness,” with these “fruit” your daily walk with Christ will always lead you to where you must be, assisting you in every fashion He may to help you deal with whatever you face in the day. Romans 14:17 Amplified Bible (AMP) 17 for the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking [what one likes], but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
A walk with the Holy Spirit, a life in Christ is how we celebrate Christmas, how we live the life of joy. John 15:7-11 King James Version (KJV) 7 “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.” Here we find that joy is tied to the walk of Christ, living and speaking His words, having the power to ask for what ever is needful and knowing that we shall receive exactly what we have asked for. If you ever wanted the keys to never failing, well, here there are laid out for you. The way to a successful life as stated above”
- Walk a strife free life, a love walk.
Romans 15:13 King James Version (KJV)
13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
The walk into joy is not difficult it is a but a few steps away, and every person should have a great desire to achieve this walk above any other. So lets look a little deeper into that walk.
As we have stated the first key is “Abide”, let’s go back to the Gospel of John chapter 15 and begin, well, at the beginning. John 15:1-4 King James Version (KJV) 15 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.” We may believe we know what the word abide may mean or how it is defined, but lets take a look at nevertheless, one meaning is: to remain stable or fixed in a state, never wavering. This is exactly what our life should be to obtain the joy of the Lord, stable in our walk with Him. We trust in the Lord, therefore we know that our trust never goes unrewarded, in fact that is the “legal” definition of the word abide, “to act or behave in accordance with or in obedience to” so then, if we trust in the Lord, we act and behave in accordance to His Word. Proverbs 3:5-6 King James Version (KJV) 5” Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Jesus says in verse 10 to abide in Him is to keep His commandments (the legal definition) so what are His commandments that we must keep? He only gave one, so we need keep but one. That one, is to Love. John 13:34 King James Version (KJV) 34 “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” Abiding requires but this one law. This walk is as close as the words on the tip of your tongue, you need but ask and by faith you shall receive it. John 14:12-15 King James Version (KJV) 12 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
So to to live joy, remember we are not talking about a feeling or an emotion we are talking about a powerful tool that the Holy Spirit places within our spirit so that we may have all that Christ has given to us already. Yes, not in some sweet by and by, but for this very moment in life. That is why the next key is so important, if you want it now, he just showed you to ask, and you shall receive, then speak words that show you have it. Don’t walk by how you feel, but rather by the fact that it is yours now. That is the love walk, it always speaks that which it desires, even the three words “I love you” hide the bad and ugly and see the good and beautiful. Like we said that was the one commandment Jesus said to live by, love, therefore, that is all that should proceed from your mouth. Speak the Word and so shall you speak what is needful to your situation, Jesus called it sowing the Word.
Mark 4:14-20 King James Version (KLV) 14 “The sower soweth the word. And these are they by the wayside, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended. And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, And the cares of this world, and the deceirfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. And these are they which are sown upon good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirty fold, some sixty, and some an hundred.”
And what we want to get is the optimum return. We want to get the hundred fold. When it comes to Joy, the good ground is your heart , so you must prepare your heart to receive the word, right? A farmer just doesn’t go out, throw the seed on the ground and thinks it will grow, no, he prepares the soil first to receive not only the seed but everything that will allow that seed to grow.
First, he plows the ground, ridding it of anything that will hinder the seed from taking root and producing that hundred fold return. So too we must plow our heart and rid it of anything that may hinder the seed of the word from working therein, is there, anger, hate, resentment, greed or any other such seed killing thing therein, clear it out, for your harvest is about to take root.
Your seed (the Word) now planted in good soil begins to grow, we don’t how, we can’t see it, but it is growing, keep speaking the word over it. Just because it is not visible (yet) doesn’t mean it isn’t growing and producing a yield.
Now, look at the stage two. That means that the plant is in the ground and it’s starting to sprout. Stage 2 is the plant has come through, shot through the ground and is now subject to the attack of whatever; insects, grasshoppers, bugs, birds, whatever. It is subject to attack.
And the farmer goes on the offensive, what he will do is go out and he’ll spray the crop, right? Even though the plants are just barely showing through and are weak at this stage, to prevent something like weeds from coming in, he grows forth and goes on the attack protecting his tender plants. So too must we, attack (with the Word) anything that comes against your seed in your heart. Of course, once this has been done, it is not the end.
Some think they don’t have to take care of that anymore. “I don’t have a responsibility to that any longer” they say. They forget the ground they are sowing into is their heart. That’s the ground. So as the ground is your heart, then it is you who stills have the responsibility to watch over your heart. Correct? You have to, if you take the farmer’s analogy, you have to spray that crop, you have to make sure that that crop will sprout and grow and grow a good crop within your heart. And of course we understand too, that as soon as that crop begins to show itself, (we are in verse 15), these that are by the wayside where the word is sown and when they have heard it satan comes immediately to take away the word that was sown in their hearts.
Satan comes at once, as soon as the little plant shoots its little head up right? How many people know that, how many know that as soon as that plant shoots it’s little head up bang! Something is there waiting to destroy. The bugs want to get at it, animals and other enemies want to get at it. Same thing in the in the ground of your heart, as soon as that plant shoots up its little head up satan wants to get at it and destroy it.
John 10:10 King James Version (KJV) 10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
He wants to destroy it before it has a chance to fulfil its purpose. That’s the way it works with the planted Word as well. As soon as it is sown within your heart the enemy comes immediately to take it away. Well, we want to learn what does it take to spray that crop to protect it in your heart? What kind of insecticides can we use to keep the enemy away? Right? What kind of treatment can we give that plant? What is our fertilizer that is going to protect that plant and cause it to grow? Is it called Miracle Grow? Yes. They put that fertilizer, Miracle Grow all around their plants and they get these great big huge tomatoes. Or they get cucumbers 3 feet long , that is what we want to do we want to get the same Miracle Grow power into our heart. And where does that come from? Obviously the Miracle Grow power comes from the Miracle Maker, Jesus Christ, and that comes through his word. So let’s take a look at some of the types of fertilizer we are going to use on our plants.
Some of the Miricale growing Word we are going to spray our plant with begins in Deuteronomy 28 remember, this is to protect our plant and keep it growing, make sure the enemy stays off of it. It is how do we spray our plant, with the words we speak.
Deuteronomy 28:1-4, And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. Blessed shalt thou ve in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and thr furit of thy ground, and the fruit of they cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of they sheep.
If you want to bring that down you can say verse 3 is wherever I go I’m blessed. Verse 4 is my family is blessed. My home is blessed and my job is blessed.
Verse 5 says: Blessed shall be they basket and thy store.
My cupboards are blessed. I have sufficient and more in my cupboards.
Verse 6: Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
I can’t move without getting blessed. However, if I move, whatever I do the blessing of God will come upon me. When you think of the very first thing God spoke to man was the blessing. Although that is entire different study, the blessing of God rests in His anointing and suffice to say now is, Jesus is the anointed of the Lord, and He lives in my heart, yours too.
Verse 7: The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
Well the enemy is satan and when you start putting this word forth, when you start to spray him with that fertilizer, he is going to run. He’s has to get out of there. Have you ever taken an insecticide and sprayed a bug with it? Did you see how they react? If they could split their bodies and go seven ways they would, ture? You’ve seen the commercials on T.V. RAID ok? Here is the RAID to use to protect your heart. When satan comes up against you the word of God is what you use against him. He can’t handle that. You spray him with the word of God and he will run seven ways.
Verse 8: The Lord shall command this is a command, the Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, now those are your bank accounts and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
Verse 9 11: The Lord shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways. And all the people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the Lord; and they shall be afraid of thee.
And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
Now that is a repeat. Whenever there is a repeat statement in the word of God you not only trust it, you can bank on it. God wants you to realize that this in your heart, becomes reality. I not only said this once, I’ll say it again so that you get a hold of it, get a grip on it.
Verse 12: The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
Verse 13: And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only.
…underline, asterisk, bracket that word “only” when life’s circumstances come against you, you should be above only. You shouldn’t be reply wrong when asked, “how are you doing?” “Not too bad under the circumstances.” What are you doing under the circumstances? You belong on top of the circumstances. That’s when you are in control. God is looking down and he sees you from a position even if you don’t. He sees you where he is, on top of the circumstance,in control of the situation because he stands by his word and that word has been placed within your heart, therefore you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath… If thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
Verse 14: And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
Now that’s just one example of the power of the spray that we are using. That fertilizer, that word of God that we are putting on our plants. Once that plant has been sown into the ground, it becomes our responsibility to watch out over and to begin to believe God to expect a return. When we plant a seed in the ground we expect a seed to come up.
Look at the bamboo tree, when they plant bamboo trees they still expect them to come up. But they are slow in coming, they need a lot of patience. The farmer may go out year after year, he goes out and there is nothing, what does he do?.Gives it another year.
He comes back the next year and nothing. Better give it another year and come back the third year and still nothing. He comes back the fourth year and still nothing. Now most Christians would be digging that plant up by now and saying this word stuff don’t work. It is worthless, look at that, I planted it 4 years ago and I still haven’t received anything. I come back year after year, now its the fifth year, and see, I told you, it doesn’t work, still nothing.
But you know in the sixth year that Bamboo will grow 40 feet high. Forty feet. Then year after year after year the plant will just keep shooting up. Why? Because for five years, it shot down and built itself up a strong root system, by planting the word of God into your ground (which is your heart) you are constantly causing your plant to shoot down and build the strong root system.
If you will allow patience to work you will have what does the word say, you’ll be entire, wanting nothing, lacking nothing. But you must allow that plant to grow. So we have to continue to spray it.
Let’s take a look at some of the other parts of our mixture in our spray.
Joshua 1:6 8, Be strong and of good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Who causes this to go forth from your mouth? You do! You plant it inside of you and you speak it forth. It is your responsibility to take care of your ground.
Psalm 1 King James Version (KJV) 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
The Word of God is the most powerful resource on the face of the Earth to take care of the plant, that plant of course is what you seeded within your heart. Once you’ve planted it, you must speak the word over it to get a return on it. Remember the return is never a one for one return, it is always greater, Mark 4 says the return can be 30% or maybe it’s 60% and even 100%. It really will be the greatest investment you have ever made.
Mark 4 also shows it won’t be easy, there will be out and out attacks on you, there will be all manner of attack on you to destroy that little seed, but, for God strength living within, the strength He calls the joy of the Lord, that little seed grows into a great producing plant. (Be sure to Mark 4:10-20)
Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, …let them say continually does it say let them say and forget it? Let them say it today and forget it tomorrow? Let them say it today and let them say tomorrow that it doesn’t work? It says let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
So I guess if you’re not saying you are not his servant. People have a hard time when they are told in Deuteronomy 26 to speak to the Lord: Look down from your holy habitation in heaven and bless us your me. Yet he says let them say it continually, let them say let the Lord be magnified who has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. Speak, and say, speak, and say, why does the Lord “demand” that from you, because you believe what comes out of your mouth before you will believe anyone else. You must speak this over and over and over, in fact, that is exactly what scripture tells you to do. Psalm 35:27 King James Version (KJV) 27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. Job 36:11 King James Version (KJV) 11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
How do you get God to have pleasure in you? By speaking, saying, and doing what He tells you to do. It’s not by being poor! No! Poverty does not bring pleasure to God. Riches do not bring pleasure to God. Prosperity brings pleasure to God. There is a huge difference in the three. There are many rich people today, many billionaires who are not prosperous people. They have a lot of money, but that’s all they have. They are miserable, sickly, and pathetic. Poverty is the same way it never, bring pleasure to the Lord. Money, or the lack of does not make you joyful. Prosperity, total 100% prosperity, will cause joy inside you, if you believe that prosperity is just money and how much of you have, then you are confused and need to study deeper into what God calls prosperity.
Proverbs 3:1 10 King James Version (KJV) My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
God is interested in you being prosperous. He is interested in you looking after that plant that’s beginning to shoot its head up out of the ground saying ‘help me, help me, spray me, protect me, keep the enemy off me, help me’ that’s what you are doing. You are protecting that plant, causing the enemy to keep away. One more scripture before we move.
III John 1:2 King James Version (KJV) “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” Beloved, that’s you, that’s me, beloved, that’s what God calls us, beloved, I wish above all things that thou may do what, prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers. If your soul is not prospering, any other kind of prosperity will not come. How do you prosper your soul, where is your soul, what is your soul. The heart of man is your soul. Where did you plant your plant? Within the heart of man. How do you prosper your soul? By watching over what you place within your heart. How do you get saved? Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth and so shall you be saved. It all happens in the heart, be watchful of it, be sure you speak it out your mouth. It is the same way with the seeds of joy you have planted. You plant it within your heart, you speak the word of God over it and you watch over it. Think of it as an insecticide for your plants.
If then, this is our insecticide, if this mixture of the Word of God becomes our insecticide that we spray over our plants, constantly, continually the word said. All the time. When circumstances show their ugly face you speak the word continually, over those circumstances. Nothing less. “Oh, I don’t know how I’m ever going to get out of this one, this mess.” Speak the word. Speak the word, believe the word. Don’t settle for anything else, never compromise the Word of God for that circumstance. You’ll cheat yourself and you will rob others. So our plant is coming up. It’s growing. This is the insecticide that we’ve mixed all up and we are ready to spray over it. Hebrew 11:1-6 King James Version (KJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. 4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. 5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
When we talk about hope relating to this topic we are talking about the rewarder part. Yet what is this? It’s faith, faith is many different things. Faith is the machinery that pulls the insecticide sprayer. Faith is what activates the Word that you speak. If the word doesn’t come alive in your heart, it won’t do you any good whatsoever. If it’s not real, what good is it? If it doesn’t happen with inside here, you can confess till you are blue in the face or green in the face, it is not going to make one bit of difference. You can go around confessing, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” If you haven’t made that scripture alive inside of your heart, then you can’t do swat, and you won’t. If it is just coming out of your head, it doesn’t mean anything. It must come out of your heart, because that is where the ground is. That is where it has been planted and that is where the seeds are. That’s where the plants are growing up from. Right? So faith is the substance of things hoped for. That is the first thing you must know and believe.
- Hebrew 11:1 Faith is the substance of things hoped for. The energizing force that causes the desire to come into existence. Faith is the energizing force that causes the desire to come into existence.
- Faith is the evidence of things not seen. Well, that is real easy to understand. If we go and plant a seed in the ground, then we do not see that seed anymore, do we? It’s gone. Yet we have faith that that seed is going to germinate, it’s going to grow and a plant will come up, therefore we will get a crop. We do not automatically assume that. We know that. So we must do the same thing in the spiritual realm? When we take a seed, we plant it in our heart, we know that immediately that it will take root and grow, it will if you plant it that way. If not, it won’t.
Faith is the energizing force that causes the desire to come into existence. And B, it’s the confirmation or proof of that which remains unseen, so far. We don’t go out and dig it up to see if it is growing. We know it is growing. We know in a short time there will be a plant, that will yield a crop and then we can eat from it.
- It’s the creative power of divine works. Hear it again, it’s the creative power of divine works. In Genesis 1:11 we saw that the power of life of the seed is within itself. That’s a divine work. That seed was created by God divinely. The seed that you plant within your heart, if you have watched over it and planted it the way you have been taught to plant it, it will a divine work. So faith is C, the creative power of a divine work. Trust that law. That’s a law of God, trust it, put your hope in it.
- Hebrews 11:4 faith testifies to the power of the word and the works of God. Faith testifies to the power of the word and the works of God. We know from Romans 10:8 that the power of the word coming out of our mouth will create faith within our heart and the desired things does take place.
You are always speaking to things whether you know it or not, so why not speak the Word to it, really according to Isaiah 55:11 when you speak to things you are speaking into existence power. You are either giving the angels or the enemy legal right to act. Isaiah 55:11 King James Version (KJV) 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Do you speak to your circumstances that way? Do you tell them to go? Well, that sounds pretty ridiculous. So what! So is the circumstance you are in, isn’t it ridiculous? It is not falling in line with the word of God, so speak to it, tell it to leave. Do it with authority. Be thou removed and cast into the sea and shall not doubt in your heart, AS Isaiah says, it’s gone, and done, when it returns it has accomplished its purpose. Send it into that soil where the seed has
Be specific in what you pray. Know what you want. Know your desire, it says here, therefore I say unto you whatsoever things you desire when you pray, believe that you receive them and ye shall have them. What did you plant, that is your desired crop, when you plant apples you do not desire a crop of carrots, no, you want apples. So when you use your faith, stay with what you are believing for, do not vacillate, stay with what you have planted in order to receive exactly that,. That is your part of your insecticide spraying machinery that is spraying away the works of the enemy. Faith is making a way when there is no way. Faith is putting within you an ability where there didn’t seem to be an ability. Faith testifies to the power of the word of God.
- Go back to Hebrews verse 5. Faith cancels out what the senses are saying will happen. We can see something about to take place, but faith says otherwise. Faith says no! The word of God says …. we see sickness and disease coming, we can either lie down and get sick or we go with the word of God and say by his stripes I was (am) healed.
You have to stand on the Word of God at all times. It says, “Let them say continually” got that, continually. Do you think God has any pleasure in that? You better believe He does! He is like any father, any children who obey Dad gives dad great pleasure. Faith cancels out what the circumstances or the senses have to say. Faith refuses to allow the circumstances to take hold. When those insects come out to destroy your plant, and your senses say my plants are about to be eaten, don’t believe those senses, instead chose to believe the word of God and faith will destroy them.
- Hebrews 11:6 Faith is the basis to please God. It says here, without it, it is impossible to please Him. Without it, it is impossible to please Him. Do you know what you do when you take your eyes off God and put them on the circumstance? You are saying to God that the circumstances are bigger than He is, therefore you don’t need him. If you go with the circumstance you are telling God that He can’t change it. And therefore I don’t need you God, you are not pleasing to God because you have no faith in him. That is why that it says without faith it is impossible to please God. Choose to go with faith, not with what you see. God gets pleasure by his children doing well. God gets pleasure by his children believing the word. God gets pleasure by his children prospering. Didn’t we just read that, “let them say continually, let the Lord be magnified who take pleasure in the prosperity of his servants.” How do you get that prosperity operating? Through faith. Plain and simple.
- Hebrew 11:7 Faith places its dependence upon the word of God to see its results. Faith is dependent only on God’s word. If you say I have faith but you do not put forth the word of God, faith does not have anything to root itself on. It’s certainly not going to depend on your feelings because they will mess you up real fast. Feeling come, they go, they change in an instant, but those fruits of the spirit they are what sustains faith. Remember, love, joy, peace, etc. depend on those to anchor your faith. Faith depends on that word of God, and that being spoke aloud As we said, that herbicide coming forth out of your mouth. It is dependent on it. It needs that word to be spoken from your mouth always at all times.
Faith depends on the word of God. Anything less and faith cannot work. To use anything less on your fields, you will get a dead or germ infested or weed infested crop, don’t treat your ground properly you will get weeds coming up, you’ve got the enemy coming as a destroyer.
- Hebrews 11:8 Faith knows that the future is bright. Circumstances say one thing but faith knows that the future is bright. Faith knows that God shall supply all the needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. That means the future is bright. Faith knows you can quote that kind of the and say it with boldness and walk into the throne room of God and say Lord you promised. Then the answer is done, it is settled. It’s in your heart, finished. Faith knows that the future is bright.
Do you think if God’s has your future in his hands, that it’s not a bright future. He is in control? He says he is going to prosper you not harm you. I guess there goes the teaching that all the bad stuff comes from God.
- Hebrews 11:11 12 Faith sees those things which be not as though they were. You have to do the same thing. When you plant that seed in the ground, if you plant an apple seed in the ground you don’t have an apple tree, you have an apple seed. But you have forgotten at once that is a seed, because you just know a tree will come out of the ground, so you say you have an apple tree, that seed is an apple tree. You do not plant, that in the ground and say I’ve got apple seeds, you plant it in the ground and say I’m going to have an apple tree. I am going to have apples for many years to come. Why? Because you believe that seed to be an apple tree. Right? That is what faith does. When you sow in faith into an area in your life, count it has done. It sees those things that be not as though they were. It’s a finished deal.
J Hebrews 11: 17 19 Faith is our assurance in God that he fulfills his promises and keeps them. Faith shows Jehovah as the great I am. Jehovah means what? The God of the covenant, who keeps his promises. If it’s in His Word, then, it is a covenant between God and us, he is going to keep it. Are you? Faith does that, keep covenant. Faith has complete confidence in that covenant. It is the assurance that God will keep his promises. Romans 8:35 -39 you can cross reference that. It says there is nothing that can separate us from the love which is in Christ Jesus. Nothing! That is covenant, a covenant of faith, our assurance that nothing will be able to change, extract, eradicate, that covenant.
- Hebrews 11:20 31 Faith has complete confidence in the answer coming. To faith, it is inconceivable that the answer would not come. To those who walk by faith, it is totally inconceivable that it won’t happen. Just as I know that I know that I know, an apple tree will sprout out of the ground because I planted apple seeds, I know that whatever I have planted from the Word will also spring forth. It’s settled. It is done. I will show, are you saved, is name written in the book of Life? It is settled, right. It’s a done deal. You know you are going. How? By faith. So take the same faith and apply it to all the other promises of God and it will work for you. That is what it is designed to do. Ephesians 3:12 King James Version (KJV) In whom we boldness and access with confidence by faith of him.
Believe, and say, “I know God that you are going to do it.” Whatever your need may be, if comes from God and you have seeded for it then consider it done. I have every confidence in you. The answer is done.
- Hebrews 11: 32 12:2 Faith is the stimulus that causes the plant to grow. What do we call this a herbicide, and insecticide that we are spraying on our plant? Well, this is the stimulus that causes the plant to grow. Faith quickens, vitalizes, arouses the plant into activity to grow and to bring forth the fruit desired. Faith excites the plant and causes a great expectancy in the plant so that it can push forth through the ground, have you ever thought about that? You know that little tiny tender plant has to push its head through the ground, it’s been rained on, probably, been walked on, animals and insects have come and attacked it, it’s had a hard life and what is more it’s got to push its head through the ground. But faith vitalizes it and causes it to come alive and shoot up through that hard ground. It wants to get to that sunlight to grow and to quickly fulfil itself.
- In Hebrews 10:38 Faith is the life blood of the just. To draw back or withdraw from faith is to give God displeasure. We better look at that Hebrews 10:38 “Now the just shall live by faith” who’s the just? I am the just, you are. The just shall live by faith, you are the just, if you operate faith the way we have been describing it. The just shall live by faith.
“But if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.” Draw back from what? Draw back from God, draw back from faith. Withdraw my statements of faith, say something foolish like “I knew it wouldn’t work anyway.” “Oh, that works for Pastor Ron and Dianna but it won’t work for me. “ Then, you are drawing back from faith, God says and he has no pleasure in you and therefore faith won’t work in you. If you get God’s against you then you can’t expect anything to work. Right? If you draw back from faith, it says he doesn’t have pleasure with you. We found out that it is faith he has pleasure in you, that through faith he has great pleasure in you. He takes delight in you. That’s when faith inspired prosperity comes it gives him pleasure and you get prosperity through faith. Yet if you withdraw from faith he has no pleasure in you. You need to get forgiveness quickly and get back to faith and start walking by it. Faith is the life blood of the just, to draw back or withdraw from faith is to give God displeaure.
Just as photosynthesis is what causes a plant to get its energy and to grow, the word of God sown in faith causes the just to grow and the Son provides the just with the energy to grow. The Son is Jesus, He causes the energy within you to grow, to those who believe will receive all that faith can do.
- Ephesians 6:16 “And above all, taking the shield of faith wherein ye are able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” Here we are talking about the armor or God. It says the shield of faith. What does the shield of faith do? The shield of faith protects you or your plant from harm. The shield of faith protects you from the cold bite of the enemy. The arrows of the enemy. The shield of faith makes your life a lot easier. The shield of faith guards the heart just as it guards the seed where it’s sown in the heart. It guards the seed, it guards the heart. It guards both. Just as many farmers spray their crops, they have to do that with a powerful herbicide, it’s a powerful concentrate of poison isn’t it? If you were to take a glass full of that or get it on you, it could burn you, it could probably kill you. But once it is diluted and sprayed across those plants it helps those plants. It keeps them, protects them. Right? Well the same way with faith, you see the farmers wearing these funny little moonwalking suits, with masks over their faces, they don’t want to breath in any of that stuff. But they are protecting their plants. You need to wear a funny little moonwalking suit and face protectants. What is that? That means the armor of God. You are putting on the armor of God. You are taking the shield of faith to come against your land to protect your plant. So that when the enemy comes agains you you have already looked after it. It’s a done deal.
Isaiah 54:17 says no weapon formed against me shall prosper and every tongue that rises against me in judgement I shall condemn this is the heritage of the servant of the Lord.
Faith is our guarantee. Remember that a guarantee is said to be only as good as what it is written upon. Right? Guarantee is only as good as it’s written upon or the person who will honor it. Faith’s guarantee is written on the word of God. It has been written on the blood of Jesus, it is sealed with the broken body of Jesus and through the power of the Holy Spirit. Our faith in God will provide the things hoped for when we apply it this way. Amen?
Hebrews 12:2 King James Version (KJV) 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
It was the spiritual force of JOY that let Jesus go through he endured so that you and the Father could have the powerful relationship you have now. His joy is yours, take it, run with it, use it to overcome all that may be against you. John 15:11 King James Version (KJV) 11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. John 16:24 King James Version (KJV) 24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
