Theocratic Warrior & He Is Jehovah

Long Blog

C.R. Judd was the name of my grade school, 8 Lincoln Crescent, Capreol, Ontario, the address was important because just a two minute walk away was our house, 28 Lincoln Crescent, this should never have been a challenge for any child to go to school, a simple walk by just 10 houses. Yet, given our reputation as Jehovah’s Witnesses and the immense hatred for us, this short walk became a daily gauntlet challenge, one wrong move, and a beating was in store, or maybe worse. We would try to time the school bell, hear it, and run like a whirlwind to get into the queue to enter the school, one door for the girls, another for the boys. The other option was to climb a hill, follow a path through the forest, make our way around a bog to the rear of the school, stay hidden and once again way for that bell. Soon our nemesis would discover this route and would lay in wait for us somewhere along it. Here they had more access to weapons, larger stones, Weeping Willow branches (they make very handy whips,) large sticks, anything that could inflict the pain that they were so good at causing.

One late October day, we awaited that bell, hiding in the rear of the school yard, but we were discovered, and suddenly a half dozen kids were on me. Kicking, punching, one had a brick and used it, while others had that dreaded Weeping Willow whip, Fight back, of course, but a seven year old in grade two can do little against those larger kids in grade six. We ran into the school yard in hot pursuit from those who would do greater harm, right to the principal of the school, he ushered us to his office. Here the hateful became liars and claimed we attacked them, they were dismissed. The principal reached into his desk and brought forth a long black thick strap, he ordered us the place both hands out, palm side up, then proceeded to use that strap on each hand on less than ten times. With bodies bruised, hands bleeding, we were sent off to our classes with him telling us our parents would be notified that we had started a fight on school grounds. This of course meant another beating by our father when he arrived home from work.

That day, like all others, we were made to stand in the hallway during our morning announcements, over the loud speakers the Lord’s prayer would be quoted by a favored student, God Save The Queen was sung by all, a scripture verse read by another student and a hymn sung along with any important announcement dealing with school or town. Standing in the hallway during these just placed a new grain of salt in the perceived wounds of the other classmates, they saw us as not different, but dangerous somehow, the hatred instilled in them by their parents was only deepened because we were the one out there in that hall. Leaving the room for the confines of the hallway really didn’t change anything, however, the same loudspeakers that were in the room were also in the hallway, what was heard in the room seemed much louder in the hall.

This day was going to be different, however, this day a revelation would come to a seven year old, and he would realize it until 15 years later. The hymn for this day, George Bennards, The Old Rugged Cross. As I stood there, hurting, crying, alone and lonely, the words of this hymn touched me deeply (yes, even at 7)

“So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,

Till my trophies at last I lay down;

I will cling to the old rugged cross,

And exchange it someday for a crown.”

In my hurting mind, that clinging to that cross was going to be the most important thing in my life. I didn’t know why, I didn’t care why, that cross, or, the idea of it was all I would need. What I was suffering (often daily) could not compare to that “suffering and shame” of Christ, yet the song said it was for me, and I wanted what He was offering. Too young to know how to obtain it, not even believing in the cross, theocratic warriors teach that Jesus died on a stake, I knew that something happened in my heart as I listened to that song. I looked around and thought how grateful I am that no-one could see me crying, not for the pain and bleeding hands, but for a soothing comfort that I was feeling within my heart. I didn’t know the power of the Holy Spirit, yet, at that moment I was experiencing the Comforter as He truly is.

Years would pass, more beating and worse, isolation, the death of my mother, disfellowshiping and being rejected by the very religion that caused all this, yet that revelation of God at 7 stayed locked away in my heart, it kept me until a greater one came on October 14, 1975 at 10PM when I received Christ into that Comforter protected heart. He was a promise Jesus made to me (and you) a promise He has kept. John 14:16 “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;” John 15:26 “But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:” King James Version (KJV) A revelation of the Comforter in your life will sustain you even during the hardest times, while work faith is working for you, carrying you to a greater place of victory.

Revelation of God is not only dependent upon your having a knowledge of The Way of Jesus Christ, but also in having a knowledge of what scripture terms, “the law.” As we have already stated the law to the Jewish person are the first five books of the Bible, the Pentateuch. It is what they hang their very way of life upon. However the law is far more than just the books of Moses, it is the Way of God, placed in one’s heart and the evidence of faith working in our life. Therefore, The Law, is the entire Word of God as lived on a daily basis by us the believer.

We find that the Hebrew word for law is, “Torah”, which means a precept or statute. Torah is derived at from the root word, “yarah”, which is to flow as water, to shoot straight as an arrow, to teach, instruct, inform, or direct. This then is what the law of the Lord is, His teaching, His ways of directing, informing, and instructing us, so that we would lay down our lives and walk in these teachings as straight as an arrow. It is to have flowed like a running river from the very depths of our hearts. It is that example, we find in Psalm 1:1-3, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of the sinners, nor sitteth in the sit of the scornful. But his delight is in the law” (Torah, yarah) of the Lord, and in His law (Torah, yarah) does he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season, his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he does prospers”. Therefore, if the law is to teach, instruct, lead and guide it would be expedient for us to find out as much as we can regarding the law. Each time you see, think or hear “the law” from here on, think of it as “the tool by which I am taught the ways of God, and the instrument by which I may fulfil my blood bought redemption. A revelation to help in our darkest times.

One must know the lawgiver in order to understand the law. For name Jehovah, we suffered horribly, but did we know Him, or we were just taught what the Watchtower and their theocratic warrior system states about Him. We did not know Him, for scripture states, John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” King James Version (KJV)  and in Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” King James Version (KJV) The theocratic warrior will use great deception to confuse one into believing that Christ is not God, yet He is, to know God we MUST see Him, in Christ. John 8:55-58 “Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. 57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? 58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.” King James Version (KJV)

The title “I AM” was how God revealed Himself to Moses and the Israelites, now Jesus chooses to use the exact same title to reveal Himself to us as God as well.

As “I AM” Jesus is stating authority is His, Authority to to create, John 1:3 & Colossians 1:16

Authority to Forgive, Matthew 9:1-8

Authority to give eternal life. John 10:28, John 11:25-26

Authority to judge. Matthew 25: 31-33

The entirety of scripture teaches Jesus is God. Take a look at this brief summary of the Biblical evidence:

Jesus Claimed to Be God, yet theocratic warriors will tell you “not so, He is not God, but a god” they are no more than modern day scribes and Pharisees, look what Jesus said about Himself:  John 10:24-28 “Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” King James Version (KJV) He prefaced this statement’s not as though He was God, but that He is God.

He acknowledged that He Himself had God’s Own Name (“I Am”) John 8:56-58,

He said, He and the Father had residence in heaven, John 8:23-24, John 18:36-37, John 14:6-9

He claimed He was equal with God,  John 10:25-29

He said that He and God were one, John 10, John 17:10-22

Jesus verified that He had the nature of God, John 1:1-14

He Demonstrated Omniscience, John 1:48, Luke 6:8

He Demonstrated Omnipresence, Colossians 2:9, 1 Timothy 2:5, and in the Communication of the Properties, John 17:5, Acts 15:8

He Demonstrated Omnibenevolence (means all-good) John 16:30-33

He Demonstrated Omnipotence, Matthew. 1:23, He laid claim to Isaiah 9:6, Matthew. 28:18 eH

Those who knew Him personally saw and worshiped Him as God. The wise men worshiped him from the moment He was born. Matthew 2:1-12

The leper worshipped Him at his healing, Matthew 8:2-4, (side note, notice it is the will of God to be healed)

The synagogue ruler worshiped Him, Luke 8:41-56 (Miricales by faith abound here too)

The disciples worshiped him in the boat and when he was risen, Matthew 14:25-33, Matthew 28:6-10

The Canaanite woman worshiped Him, Matthew 15:22-28

The mother of James and John worshiped Him, Matthew 20:20

The blind man worshiped Him at his healing, John 9:38

The women worshiped Him at the empty tomb, Matthew 28:8-10

The disciples worshiped Him at the ascension, Luke 24:52

While scripture proves beyond doubt that Jesus is God, the theocratic warrior will use the twisted scripture of the New World Translation in a vain attempt to disprove Him, it simply can’t be done for it is simply not true.

So we see Jesus and Jehovah as one, then we must ask, who is Jehovah? Elohim (God), Adonai (Lord) and Jehovah (Lord) are the Divine titles (or names) most often used in the Old Testament. Jehovah occurs almost 7000 times. To be correct, Jehovah (YHWH) as a title or name does not appear in the New Testament. The theocratic warrior is taught that a long lost Hebrew transaltion of Matthew used this title, they want us to believe (like they do)  that there was a great conspiracy to remove the YHWH title from the New Testament, although the translators left the title in the Old Testament they all decided to delete it from the New Testament. If the Hebrew transaltion of Matthew actually existed, (it does not) why did they change the Name of God to Jehovah in the other 26 books of the New Testament where it does not exsist. El Shaddai was God’s name that the Patriarchs knew. YHWH was God’s name to the Jews: “God spoke further to Moses and said to him, “I am YHWH; and I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as God Almighty [El Shaddai], but by My name, YHWH, I did not make Myself known to them.” (Ex 6:2-3) Jesus is God’s name for Christians: “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

Having lived it, it seems to me that the theocratic warriors have done God a great disfavor, other than within their own organization, the name Jehovah, is looked in great angst around the world. This is wholly caused by the theocratic warrior concept of, misdirecting, untruths, and lies about God. Yet to see Jehovah is to see Jesus, the God of the Old Testament is the God of the New Testament. The name Jehovah in the Old Testament is translated most often as LORD and appears more than 7000 times. So let’s examine the Name of Jehovah, not from the theocratic warrior point of view but from faith’s view point.

Exodus 6:3 “And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name Jehovah was I not known to them.” King James Version (KJV)

El Shaddai, The Almighty God, what is that God cannot do? Well, nothing, of course, this is the beginning of faith. What can you think of to bring to El Shaddai that He cannot do? Do you think that He has never heard of your problem, He isn’t about to say, “well, that’s a new one to me” no, He is the Almighty, there is nothing, zero, zilch, naugthda, He hasn’t heard of, your problem is solved when you give it (and leave it) to Him.

Then He says His name is Jehovah, as Almighty people knew they could come to Him, but a Jehovah they were about to learn He is far greater than a problem solver. Psalm 83:18 “That men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, art the most high over all the earth.” King James Version (KJV) He is the God of the covenant, He made a covenant with man and He honors that covenant. He is the eternal, unchanging one, who is faithful to keep His covenant Word. We place our faith upon His word, it is our covenant with Him, He will ever live up to His Word, His covenant, all we could ever need the Lord to be, He is. Upon the cross, Jesus fulfills that covenant on our behalf. Jesus made 8 ‘I AM’ claims corresponding to the 8 Jehovah names.

When we look at that covenant and the 8 names of Jehovah, we define Him (Jehovah) as “the God who keeps covenant and fulfill promises. So let us see Him.

JEHOVAH-JIREH ‘the Lord is our Provider or Provision’ He will provide for you, His covenant is what takes “good” care of you. As you come against what seems like an unsurpassable need, Jehovah Jierh will meet it when you trust in Him. This name is that Abraham knew Him as. Genesis 22:12-14 “And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen. King James Version (KJV)  He brought Abraham to place where He could supply the needs that Abraham faced. When He asks you do something, He will provide you with the means to do it. When you come to Him with your need, He will answer it with the solution you will require, or, will provide you will a supernatural answer to it. He will pay the cost, has paid the cost, no matter how great, He will provide. You need just to see yourself as the one Jehovah Jireh cares for: Matthew 6:25-34 “Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” King James Version (KJV) There can be no question that Jehovah Jireh will provide for you, great or small, He has done it all.

Think of how important you are, if you were the only one that would ever believe in the redemption of Christ, then all it took, the birth, the ministry, the death upon the cross, the resurrection, all would have been done just for you, so that the God who keeps covenant and fulfills promises would see it complete for you, your every need met, spirit, soul and body. Romans 8:32 ”He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” King James Version (KJV)

Find Him as “your” God, Jehovah Jireh is a personal God, concerned with the universe, of course, yet concern for well being, your every need id met in Him by faith. Philippians 4:19 “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” King James Version (KJV) What is it that you face, is it greater than God, can He not meet the need. No matter what it is, you have the victory in Jehovah Jireh, by your faith, the simple, trusting Him to do what He has promised, He calls you a conqueror in it. Romans 8:37 “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” King James Version (KJV)

We look at the second of the compound names of Jehovah, “the Lord that healeth thee” The Hebrew word transliterated Ropheka is used almost seventy times in the Old Testament for healing, restoring or preserving. Exodus 15:26 “And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.” King James Version (KJV) Think about a group of thousands of people, wandering for 40 years in the wilderness and never experiencing sickness or disease. They faced challenge after challenge, yet Jehovah Rpoheka kept them well. His covenant was to care for them, even though they turned on Him, He kept them well. As they depend on God for their health, they developed trust in His promises and He would not fail them.

He proved Himself greater than the diseases of the land of their enslavement, here are some that have been found by examination of Egyptian mummies: eye diseases, illness caused by bites of scorpions or serpents, diseases affecting the internal organs, kidney stones,  tuberculosis, polio: parasitic diseases: bilharzia (schistosomiasis), guinea-worm, roundworm, tapeworm, consumption (cancers) no matter the disease, Jehovah Rapha will heal it.

Theocratic warriors will tell you God does conduct Himself in that manner any longer, Yet that is not what scripture says, God does not change, what He was a thousand years ago He is today. Malachi 3:6 “For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” To be sure, Jesus confirms that He too is most reliable. Hebrews 13:8  Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” King James Version (KJV) When you face a health crisis you know that God will provide a way for you to receive healing. Theocratic warriors want’s us to believe that it was an active force that no longer moves that brought healing. Not so, The Holy Spirit is moving and will complete His healing work for those who believe Him.

As we read Matthew 8, we see Jesus as our healer as well. He heals a leper, heals a servant of a man of war, heals Peter’s mother-in-law, walks on water to cast demons out. He has not changed, He will go and heal wherever He is needed, as long as it the need has faith attached to it. Your application of faith in your hardest circumstances will cause you to be made whole. Some just get healed, but being made whole is even greater, for any damage the disease may have done is also destroyed and a renewal has come to the body. We see time after time “your faith has made you whole” Mark 5:34 “And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.” King James Version (KJV)

Healing is the desire and the work of the Godhead, (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) should anyone question the will of God regarding healing, just show them God, all of Him. In His promises there can be no argument. John 14:10-18, “Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake. 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” King James Version (KJV) Cling to God desire, 3 John 2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” King James Version (KJV)

JEHOVAH-NISSI, “the Lord is my banner, my refuge”

When all hell breaks loose against you, you stand firm in faith, but life has been rough while you await your blessing to come, you need a place to go, a refuge in times of troubles. You have God’s heart, all He has done, all Christ has done, is on your behalf. Yes, you are in a battle, a battle for your life, but as you move to war, look up, what flag (banner) are you marching under, the flag of the Lord, therefore, you cannot be defeated, fly your banner high. Psalm 20:5 “We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions.” King James Version (KJV)

You have prepared, you have armed yourself and with faith on your lips, you know that you will win for Jehovah Nissi is on your side. Where the theocratic warrior tells you that the Spirit is but an active force, God says, He is your secret weapon, no active force can accomplish the victories that the Spirit of God has. Those victories are yours for He is your banner, you call upon His Name and He moves on your behalf. Ephesians 6:10-18 10 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” King James Version (KJV)

A study of Exodus 17 shows how Isreal entered into their first battle after their flight from bondage in Egypt. While Joshua found in hand to hand combat, swords flying, people dying, Moses stood high above, holding the rod of God as a banner over the people. As long as the banner was held high, the battle went in their favor. The enemy is defeated, Moses builds an altar and names it Jehovah Nissi, Moses knows it was not the rod (banner) that won the battle but it was the hand of Jehovah. The banner just sets the stage of memory, we see the banner and remember the victory. Exodus 17:13-16 “And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. 14 And the Lord said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. 15 And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi: 16 For he said, Because the Lord hath sworn that the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.” King James Version (KJV)

Pay close attention to verse 16, Amalek is a type of the devil, every generation must contend with his evil, but the banner of the Lord is over us, we remember the devil has been defeated, in God and by His Spirit we are the one with the victory.

You are like Solomons great love, in the refuge, enjoying a life well deserved, protected, safe and secure, basking under the banner called the love of God. Song of Solomon 2:1-4 “I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys. 2 As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters. 3 As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. 4 He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.” King James Version (KJV)

Banner’s fly high where all can see, when they do, it reminds the viewer of the victory and the challenge it took to gain that victory. Sports teams hang banners from the rafters so in future years they motivate the team to yet another victory. Military parades march waving the banner of the group or unit they served with, reminding the spectators the victory has been won on their behalf. In battle the banner precedes warriors, there can be no mistake whom they fight for the banner is the assurance, it cannot be ignored, it cannot fall, all must run to it.

Our banner must be the Word of God, it covers, us, fights for us by releasing the Spirit of God and God’s angels, it is our refuge, and brings great comfort to us. Satan will come, but the Word will defeat him. This is the standard set by Christ to defeat the devil, it was His banner, so it should be ours. Read Luke 4:1-15 Satan tempts, Jesus wins.

By choosing Christ, speaking His Word as your banner, you will see His miracle working power work in your life, and once again Satan loses, you win, His banner over you is Love.  Matthew 4:23-24 “And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. 24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.” King James Version (KJV) This is the Christ we want to walk with, theocratic warriors don’t fly His banner, they are powerless to do these works, but, you are not so, He has given you His banner to run to, those things He did so can you, for you reside under His banner. The banner of Love. John 14:12 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” King James Version (KJV) When the theocratic warrior comes to your door, find out what they need, then do the greater work, they will see Jesus and run to your banner.

The Lord is my peace, Jehovah Shalom. Daily we face hard situations, some are life threating, but that peace of God overwhelms you, you cannot understand it, but just receive it, for it His love poured out on you. Philippians 4:6-8 “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” King James Version (KJV)

Many of us are like Gideon, just getting by, not wanting to get involved, minding our own business. Yet, when God calls we must go, He doesn’t do anything normally, so He needs those who will follow His instructions as He gives them and regardless as to how they make us look. Yet when peace comes on us, overtakes us, we step out in that peace, and know that we know that we know we win. Gideon was called do a job, there was danger, there tumult, there was conflict raging all about him, but, there was the peace of God all about him, so went forth and battle was his. Peace allows the battle to be won in your favor. Judges 6:23-24 “And the Lord said unto him, Peace be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt not die. 24 Then Gideon built an altar there unto the Lord, and called it Jehovahshalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.” King James Version (KJV)

To live in distress, worries or, to ourselves, the cares of daily living is against what God has already done for you. Jesus is our Savior, we must be that He has saved us from what all that anxiety can do to us , through us and in us. Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” King James Version (KJV) How is it that you cannot walk without worry, when God calls Himself Jehovah Shalom, then Jesus is The Prince Of Peace, and of course the Holy Spirit is known as the Comforter. They not only want you to have peace but want it run within you to such a great amount that there is no room in you but for peace. 2 Peter 1:2-3 “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:” King James Version (KJV)

It is this peace that keeps the follower of Christ and not a religion, while religions walk about confused and offer little in the way of solutions, any religion who takes from who God truly is, cannot know His peace. When God says (and Christ too) I AM then that includes peace. I am your peace, look no further. Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” King James Version (KJV)

Your battle may be given to you by the devil, but be assured that peace you need is given to by God Himself. 2 Thessalonians 3:16 “Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.” King James Version (KJV) Gaining knowledge of Christ brings peace, while some will have you follow rules of the religion to fool you into thinking you have peace, there is but one way to peace, through the Word, through your knowledge of Christ. The more you know of Jesus, the more peace you will have. 2 Peter 1:2 “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,” King James Version (KJV)

The Lord, my Righteousness. Jeremiah 23:5-6 “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, The Lord Our Righteousness.” King James Version (KJV)  Man must come to God as righteous, but he is not, so is God unobtainable? He gave us a way, and that way is through Christ, it is He who will cause us to have right standing in the Fathers eye’s. We have an advocate, one who will stand in our place, one who is righteous, therefore we are seen as righteous. Romans 5:17 “For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!” New International Version (NIV)

When you fall or fail, the theocratic warrior will declare you a sinner, ready find you guilty, ready to pronounce their curse of unrighteousness upon you and disfellowship you for conduct unbecoming a Christian, scripture tells us “all have sinned” so judge and defendent stand guilty of sin, no man can declare another as unrighteous because all stand in the same place. But our righteousness is no of ourselves, but it is found in Christ, in Him we live and move and have our being. He is our Jehovah –Tsidkenu, Romans 3:22-26 “This righteousness is given through faith in[a] Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement,[b] through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26 he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.” New International Version (NIV)

Many religions would have you live beneath the grace of God found in His righteous way and not their laws. Laws, rules and regulations causes one to drift from God because no-one can continue in them, but the law and the laws are completed in Christ. Once you are saved, then through Him you are seen as righteous. Then you walk as righteous, the walk of faith is that of forgiveness of others and self and then being seen and seeing yourself and others in Christ righteousness. Romans 10:4, 8-10 “Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.” 8 “But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,”[a] that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” New International Version (NIV)

Adam brought sin to man, Jesus brought redemption of that sin, and because of that He granted to us a very special gift, that of righteousness, by the shed blood of Christ, our sins are covered, through it we stand as clean and righteous in the sight of the Father. Romans 5:17 “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)” King James Version (KJV) Maybe we miss the mark, (most do daily) but we do not live under condemnation, we live free and know we are loved,  The greatest affliction of man is sin, through it comes all the works of the enemy, every aliment, all sickness, mutations in soul and body. Yet we can see ourselves freed from it when we by faith receive the redeeming work of Christ. Romans 8:10-11 “And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” King James Version (KJV) Because He has made you just as He is, then you are able to sit within a place of righteousness. Ephesians 2:6 “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:” King James Version (KJV) We keep in our heart and in our faith that how Jesus is, because of His righteousness, we are seen as the same, but not in some future prefect world system, or even when we get to heaven, but now, right now, here in this present time. 1 John 4:17 “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.” King James Version (KJV)

The Lord is there. In the midst of all your troubles, your worries, your struggles, we take great comfort that the Lord is there, too. Not the one who has brought all that negative (although He often gets the  blame) but He is there to help you through it. He is not some distant journey away, but is right there with you. This is His power, to be where He is needed, when He is needed, He is omnipresent. With you and God you have a majority, when there is two, then Christ is right there along side you too. Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” New International Version (NIV)

He lives is a place that we can’t image the beauty of, yet, He has chosen as The Father to reside with you, those who desire to know Him deeply and sincerely need go no further than the spirit that lies within them, for there they will find the Holy Spirit too. The Lord is there. Isaiah 57:15 “For this is what the high and exalted One says—he who lives forever, whose name is holy:“I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.” New International Version (NIV) How is God will revive your low spirit or your broken heart, but living there with you, by being there. Do you really believe that God will allow those hurts, burdens and worries in His life, of course not, what’s of the devil cannot stand in the presence of the Holy Spirit. Theocratic warriors want you to believe that the Spirit of God is but an “active force” no, He is a person, with the thoughts, feelings and emotions of a person. As such, we learn that He cares for you, an active force has no ability to be concerned, but a God who is there sure does. 1 Peter 5:6-10 “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. 10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” New International Version (NIV)

The presence of God is found in His Glory, Paul says “after you have suffered a little while,”  Satan brings the suffering, but faith drives it out. Nothing can stand in the midst of Glory, there is no care that can withstand the presence of God, He destroy’s everyone. Remember cares is defined as: worry, grief, frustration, anguish, mental anxiety, God takes them all. The suffering you may experience to the time laps in your living in the care and the giving it over to the Lord, He is there, give it to Him right away, why hang on to it? He gives you the results of allowing Him to be there, you will be strong, firm, steadfast and restore. All the devil’s have taken from you is returned back to you. This alone should show those locked in religion that God does not put evil upon us to teach us some lesson, He would be putting it upon Himself, He has learned the lessons. Live with Him, He is there, He is the division between the light and the darkness, choose the light. Psalm 139:5-12 “You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. 7 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? 8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. 9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, 10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. 11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” 12 even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. New International Version (NIV)

Remember, Jehovah is the God of covenant and who keeps promises, Genesis 17:7 “I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you.” New International Version (NIV) The covenant is based on the presence of God, a relationship with God, the relationship deepens by His presence, we are a covenant people, why, because God is there, in the very middle of the relationship. It is the entire focus of redemption, having the presence of God in our lives. God gave up His everything so that everything may be given to us. That is the mark of His love, He is always present. It matters not who or whom we may be, in God by faith we have His presence, He is there. Romans 3:25-30 “God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement,[a] through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26 he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. 27 Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The law that requires works? No, because of the law that requires faith. 28 For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law. 29 Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, 30 since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith.” New International Version (NIV)

Psalm 23

A psalm of David.

  1. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
  2. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
  3. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
  4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
  5. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
  6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.” King James Version (KJV)

No greater expression love can be found, but that in Jehovah-Raah, think of the actions of a shepherd. The primary responsibility is the welfare of the sheep, you are His sheep. He brings the sheep where the food is plentiful, where water abounds, nothing poisonous to graze upon, and there is plenty of freedom to move about. Bringing to familiar grounds to rest for the night, where he too will sleep with the sheep. He does not leave his flock. How we see Christ in these passages, He is our great Shepherd. He stay’s by our side, never to leave, never to give up on. Hebrews 13:5 “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” King James Version (KJV)

The shepherd protects the sheep of predators, coyotes, wolves, mountain lions, bears, snakes and dogs, Nothing will come against the sheep, the shepherd will give his life to protect them, all hell may come against you, but all has been defeated for Jesus gave up His life for your protection. John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” King James Version (KJV)

You must decide, how are you going to define Him, “The Lord is”, is what. Here the Great I Am must be present, whatever the need may the:”Lord Is”  your answer. He is your shepherd, He will take good care of you. Wants and needs fall by the wayside, for they cannot stand in the presence of The Lord. Philippians 4:19 “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” King James Version (KJV) Everyone’s need is different, the wealthy requires no funding yet the poor do, the whole need not healing, yet the sick do, perhaps we should define the word need: necessary duty, a lack of something requisite, desirable, or useful, physiological or psychological requirement for the well-being,a condition requiring supply or relief,  lack of the means of subsistence. No matter how you chose to define your need, the fact is, if you have, by faith, you have the Great Shepherd who will answer that just for you.

Theocratic warriors have a plan for those who fall short of their path, mark them, have nothing to with them until they show some sinful man that they have repented. Jehovah-Raah says something different,  when we come to Him, then He forgives, He restores, He causes you to walk in a right path. You willing declare who is, for He brought to you, salvation, something no religion disguised as theocratic can ever give.  He loves it when you declare Him as your redeemer. Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.” King James Version (KJV)

Jehovah-Raah knows you will have some difficult times, there will be trials, but the fix is in, the judge in the trial is your Father. Sure the devil “as” a roaring lion will be in the valley of “shadow” of death, seeking whom he can trick into being duped by him. But, ask yourself a couple of questions, who has ever been harmed by a shadow, or, does the roar actually do any harm? Shadows cannot harm and a roar is nothing but noise, but, if those actions can bring fear into someones heart, it will drive out faith. Remember an acronym for FEAR is: False, Evidence, Appearing, Real. It is false, not true, Jehovah-Raah will have you so protected that you, under the most difficult of times, will be able to sleep, sweetly and soundly, no worries, no fears. In the most stressful times, under the hardest circumstances, Jesus will shepherd you through, Romans 8:28-39 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” King James Version (KJV)

If you, by faith, will trust in the goodness of God, then you will know Him as another great name of Him, that’s Abba, Father. A loving, caring Father, who takes enormous care of His children. Understanding Gods mercy is simply to know that it is the power of God in close fellowhip with His child,.  As theocratic warriors miss this power by their manmade punishiment for the sinner, God declares your sin maybe great, my mercy and love for you is greater. Psalms 136 is clearly the must go to scripture to clearly grasp the mercies of Jehaovah-Raah, no matter what, His mercies will always be there for you. Psalm 136 “O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. 2 O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever. 3 O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever. 4 To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever. 5 To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endureth for ever. 6 To him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for his mercy endureth for ever. 7 To him that made great lights: for his mercy endureth for ever: 8 The sun to rule by day: for his mercy endureth for ever: 9 The moon and stars to rule by night: for his mercy endureth for ever. 10 To him that smote Egypt in their firstborn: for his mercy endureth for ever: 11 And brought out Israel from among them: for his mercy endureth for ever: 12 With a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm: for his mercy endureth for ever. 13 To him which divided the Red sea into parts: for his mercy endureth for ever: 14 And made Israel to pass through the midst of it: for his mercy endureth for ever: 15 But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea: for his mercy endureth for ever. 16 To him which led his people through the wilderness: for his mercy endureth for ever. 17 To him which smote great kings: for his mercy endureth for ever: 18 And slew famous kings: for his mercy endureth for ever: 19 Sihon king of the Amorites: for his mercy endureth for ever: 20 And Og the king of Bashan: for his mercy endureth for ever: 21 And gave their land for an heritage: for his mercy endureth for ever: 22 Even an heritage unto Israel his servant: for his mercy endureth for ever. 23 Who remembered us in our low estate: for his mercy endureth for ever: 24 And hath redeemed us from our enemies: for his mercy endureth for ever. 25 Who giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy endureth for ever. 26 O give thanks unto the God of heaven: for his mercy endureth for ever.”  King James Version (KJV)

When we understand how we are shepherded by God, then we can easily place or faith in Him, trusting and walking with Him side by side. Ephesians 6:10 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” King James Version (KJV)

The 23rd Psalm reveals all of God to us, all He is, is all He can be to you.

v.1 – “The Lord is my Shepherd”, (Jehovah-Ro’i);

v.1 – “I shall not want” (Jehovah-Jireh);

v.2 – “He leadeth me beside the still waters [marg. waters of quietness]”, (Jehovah-Shalom);

v.3 – “He restoreth my soul”, (Jehovah-Ropheka);

v.3 – “He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness”, (Jehovah-Tsidkenu);

v.4 – “Thou art with me”, (Jehovah-Shammah);

v.5 – “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies” , (Jehovah-Nissi);

v.5 – “Thou anointest my head with oil”, (Jehovah-MeKaddishkem).

Exodus 31:13 “Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you.” King James Version (KJV)

Sanctify: to be set apart to consecrate, prepare, dedicate, be hallowed, be holy.  How can one be holy in such an unholy world? Only by faith in God. The world set against you, sin is everywhere, turn the television on and even the commercial will subject you to a barrage of sinful acts. The world wants you to walk their way, a path of destruction, yet God wants us to walk His way, holy and set apart, How are we to do it? Only by Christ can it be done. Religion dictates that you follow their rules and regulations, no-one can, and no-one does. The watchtower is quick to judge you, find you guilty and kick you out of their kingdom, but the judges do not judge themselves, sinful men cannot stand as judges of others, lest they too be found out. Every theocratic warrior stand guilty of sin by Watchtower standards, although most are not disfellowshipped for conduct unbecoming a Christian, from the governing body, to the publisher in the local congregation, all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. So what can be done?

We walk in the Spirit, not some “strange active force,” but in the living, breathing Spirit of God, Galatians 5:19-25 “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” King James Version (KJV)

Theocratic warriors will tell you they “have and are the truth” but how is that they deny the power of Christ as God, Only in Him can we walk a life that we can be seen as holy. Daily we fall, daily we run to Him, He lifts us up and we walk in His holiness. 1 John 2:18-25 “Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.” King James Version (KJV) Sanctification is found in both Christ and Jehovah by the Spirit, the trinity in action. Theocratic warriors use this scripture to justify their branding a person an apostate (like me) yet they are the one’s who deny the trinity, they are one who deny the power of God in Christ to sanctify, it matters not me what a religion may label me, it matters what God labels me, and to Him I carry the title, Son. I can stand innocent because of the redeemer living and sanctifying me by His Spirit. W.E. Vine’s Expository Dictionary says:  “God calls people to belong (friendship) to Him and to serve Him (laborer) in the world. He sets believers apart (holy; holiness; sanctify; sanctification), granting them access into His presence, bestowing upon them forgiveness, freedom, grace, and favor.”[ii]

1 Peter 2:9 “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;” King James Version (KJV) He calls us into fellowship with Him, raising us to the highest standard, so we may be that people who leads others to His greatness. Walking out of, and over, the works of the enemy, defeating all that wickedness may throw against you, for you are granted a power that few have, the power of praise. Prasie of the Lord, for He has done great and marvelous works on your behalf and you trust Him and put forth His Word. You are sanctified in Him, you believe, you speak His Word and He honors and fulfills it. Where you go, He goes, when you speak His Word, He performs it, The power of the redeemed is in the Word of God. Mark 16:16-20 “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.” King James Version (KJV)

Psalm 24 “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? 4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. 6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.” King James Version (KJV) Selah, stop and think on these things.

Sabaoth is the Hebrew word for “armies”, the armies of heaven, or, the armies of earth? The answer is both, At Davids battle with Goliath, he declares the enemies defeat at the hand of the Lord of Hosts, showing that the Lord is the ruler over every force, in heaven, on earth and under the earth. We can readily declare the battle won for it is in the hands of the Lord of Hosts, Psalm 24:7-10 “Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. 9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah”. King James Version (KJV) Can you think of anyone or anything that can defeat The Lord,no, of course not, we trust Him in the battle and go forth knowing we win, for He is before us, he is behind us, He surrounds us.

Faith requires trust, we must know that at all times and in everything there is a devil out there seeking who he can destroy, we trust the Lord to keep him from our door and out of our lives. When there are good times, we keep the Lord in first place, that we may know His voice in the rough times and are able to follow His plan for our life to see the enemy defeated. We listen because the army serves, God commands and one goes and fulfills the command, and so others in the thousands doing the exact same thing. The Host in heaven as the Host on earth all work together to defeat the enemies of the Lord.

Throughout both Old and New Testaments we see that we are in a great battle, but the Lord of Hosts is there defending us. By putting God first we know He will put us first, consider your action, consider your way, trust and see the powerful hand of the Lord. Haggai 1:5-7 “Now therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways. 6 Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. 7 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways.” King James Version (KJV) Here the people were too busy with just the day to day ways of life, failing at that, The Lord comes forth and says put me first, consider your ways, they don’t work, follow mine then you will see the hand of Lord of Hosts in your life. Our faith must be displayed, what can we possibly fear, Jesus stated He could call 12 legions of angels to His side, His return is marked by those angels returning with Him. 2 Thessalonians 1:7 “And to you who are troubled, rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,” King James Version (KJV) Your rest is in Christ, He is The Lord of Hosts. Matthew 25:31-34 “When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:” King James Version (KJV) In Revelation 19th and 22nd chapter reveals Jesus ruling and in glorious power in the end times and in the New Heaven and New Earth. The moment we received His redemption, He became the ruler of our lives, we need but walk in His ways.

There is none other than Christ who is our Saviour, The Lord of Hosts has prepared you for job in His arm, what job, to witness of His greatness, if you want to be a true Jehovah’s Witness and defeat the theocratic warriors, then shout the goodness of Christ to all who come near you. Isaiah 43:10-11 “Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. 11 I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.” Colossians 1:16-17 “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.” King James Version (KJV)
